News… just news (or closing yet another working week)

It’s Friday and the more we’re nearing the end of the business week, the more we get in the mood, the more fresh smells the air and the more realistic becomes the upcoming weekend.  But before go for a two-day fiesta, we’d like to make a quick revision of what have been done during these last days and what was (and probably will continue to) keeping us busy.

Well we have to admit that this was a quite fast week with a shitload of interesting events:

  • ImagiRock, an upcoming event of ours which comes your way, was heavily promoted these last days. You could probably hear an interview on Belgian local radio stations, see a flyer “flying” somewhere in the hood or you have (hopefully) purchased a copy of this events compilation CD. If not, then you should know that this item can be yours if you buy a presale even this Saturday before 8PM or visit our online store shortly as we’re planning making it available for sale (limited number of copies!). But that’s not all: if you do what described above, you’ll also get 6 euros of bonus in form of offered drinks! All you have to do is to pronounce a secret password “Denis Collard”! Sweet isn’t it? I guess so.  Please don’t forget that the whole festival has been delayed for 3 hours. So it all starts at 5PM and b-SHAKE performs at 11PM !
  • AlterHit, the new online music community offers us a chance to participate in Big Chill Festival in UK. As usual this one is all about selling the more downloads you can. So if haven’t downloaded some of our tune yet, this is probably the right moment. You can also act as our online distributor by signin up to AlterHit and putting our songs in you own music store and retain some consistent commision on each and every sale you do.
  • ReverbNation offered us the opportunity to give our last tune for free online. Refill your favourite mp3 player with “Scratching Words”. All this stuff has been made possible thanks to Microsoft Windows! Click on the banner:

  • You all know we’re about to prepare a live performance DVD footage. And you also know you’re all welcome to be immortalized on it and to travel the whole world in form of digital picture afterwards. But what you do not know probably is that there is a huge amount of different people behind the scenes who do their best to make it work. One of these important actors is “Cross-Roads“. They will contribute in the production of this video. Cross-Roads is a company which offers all kinds of IT services such as software development, consultance, services, web development and design and many more. These people are gentle and hard working. So if you’re thinking of crafting your band a brand new web site with weird widgets and stuff and are looking for hi-end professional work, then this is probably the way to go. Be sure to check this out.
  • Cross-Roads Software and Services

So here you are up to date. We all hope to see you in Colfontaine (Belgium) this Saturday and will be back with more news shortly.

MUZU TV

Remember we’ve mentioned an interesting online TV channel called MUZU TV in one of our previous posts? Well this project became even more interesting now. I checked out their schedule and archives and was really amazed by the quantity (and, most importantly, the quality) of music videos of various emerging and confirmed artists all over the world. Honestly, it’s an honor to be a part of this community and we do strongly recommend you to tune in again to check out their roster. I found it an interesting difference between traditional TV chanels and online ones when it comes to connection between artists and audience. MUZU TV is where you can become a part of the community and get in touch with your favorite musicians (us for example  ;) ). Anyway, here’s a sweet badge they provided us with to let us share all this great material with you… Click on it and take a quick tour, I’m sure you’ll like it.

Get b-SHAKE on the bill of Big Chill Festival

Hi Folks,
we’re back to you with a new blurb. This time we’re going to talk about yet another online “competition” on AlterHit. AlterHit is a UK based musical social community site which brings together artists, labels and fans in order to make them collaborate and show each other some love. So, this way, you can for example sign up as fan and promote your favourite artist… hum… say b-SHAKE for example. All right, till now nothing special. But… AlterHit also organizes competitions from time to time and this time the competition aims to put one artist on the bill of the huuuge Big Chill Festival on August 2009 in Eastnor Castle UK. So who’s going to get him self a place under the sun? Well it’s all about selling as many mp3 downloads as you can. The most downloaded artist goes to BCF this summer. Soooo, why don’t you people join this adventure and let’s get Belgium on top of the chart! Go to www.alterhit.com and buy yourself some tracks if you haven’t done so already. They’re only 0,70 pounds each. Or sign up as fan and add our music to your personnal music store and get paid for each and every track of ours you sell. Honnestly, we’re always glad when our fans take advantage of our music. So don’t be shy, and check out our AlterHit profile www.alterhit.com/bshakemusic.

Cheers and see you there

What was keeping us busy

Folks,

it’s true that we’ve been away for a little while. BUT! A lot of big stuff happened these last days. Most importantly we’ve been busy recording new material in one of the most famous recording studios in Belgium “Jet Studio”. A lot of huge artists passed through this place to immortalize their work and you can almost smell it in the air. A lot of space, vintage instruments and weird equipment act as a source of inspiration and fun.

During these days we’ve recorded 4 tracks for our future album which will be officially produced by Rudy Coclet, one of the most important Belgian producers. This man worked with world known artists like Arno, An Pierlé, Jeronimo, Jeff Bodart, Mud Flow, Roland Van Kampenhout, Sharko to name but a few. Watch the video (in french) bellow to learn more about Rudy Coclet or visit his official MySpace page which is http://www.myspace.com/rudycoclet

RUDY COCLET par Moodio

We’ve been quite excited about this experience and this excitement should be perceptible in our upcoming album. We hope you’ll like it.

b-SHAKEs tracks reviewed on The Suite UK radiostation

Our music will be reviewed by a new radio station… wait. It isn’t really a radio station as we used to know it. People from The Suite decided to push the concept a bit further. Here’s a little excerpt which they are using to describe what they do:

“… The whole place is rigged with cameras that broadcast live over the internet, 24/7.

As The Suite is a working studio so you will also see us play, talk, listen, debate, argue and create music.

You can log on any time and watch for free.

Everything is broadcast live over the web. If it happens between these walls, you’ll see and hear it. … “

And here’s an introduction video:

They will review our music this Wednesday 18th March 2009 at 6PM (UK Time) so don’t forget to tune in and listen. We’ll try to podcast the whole thing afterward.

Visit their website to listen to the show: www.liveatthesuite.com
